Michigan Week 2 Prediction

Last week was last week, we are on to a new week. Michigan will not be playing the top team in the MAC anymore, we are playing #11 Oklahoma. These two teams played complete opposite in Week 1, but no matter what, it is anyones game for week 2.

Oklahoma defeated UTEP 51-0 with John Matter playing very well going 11/17 with 225 yards and 3 touchdowns. They had a defensive touchdown, a punt return for a touchdown, 9/9 in field goals and extra point kicks. It was overall a perfect game that could be played, the best practice to be ready to play at Michigan the next week.

Michigan… kind of had the opposite experience week 1. Michigan defeated Western Michigan 13-12 with a last second 50+ yard touchdown pass as the extra second ticks. Bryce Underwood had 1 touchdown but 2 turnovers, 1 being an interception and another being a late 4th quarter fumble. The run game was very inconsistent having Bryce Underwood leading the team with 47 rushing yards while Jordan Marshall, a big time return having 11 carries with 44 yards, and the 5 star Freshman having 5 carries for 15 yards. It was not a pretty sight, but it was still a big win.

Now after all of that… I still think Michigan has a chance to take over and win this game. Michigan's defense played very well week 1, with 9 of the 12 points were off turnovers in Michigan territory. I think they can play very well against Oklahoma's offense and really show themselves. The biggest question Michigan needs to answer is if their offense can show up. Both parts of the offense struggled against Western Michigan, the passing game was not successful, and the run game was not dominant like they have been in the previous years. It is not just the quarterback and the running backs… It is the lineman as well, the defense was getting pressure the entire game and the line will need to be pushed back in order to win this game.

I am not the most confident, but it is in the Big House, they lost their ranking, and they will have to play pissed off to prove that they deserve to be ranked in College Football. The Running Game will tell if Michigan will win this game or not.
