Below Deck Mediterranean Episode 1 review
We. Are. Back.
This show is on my TV at all times of the day, morning, evening, night, during dinner, after dinner, when I am mad, happy, angry, bored, this show is for everything. First off, it feels like there are 5 different versions of Below Deck on at all times, when one finishes, another one is about to premier, it's a never-ending TV show it will make my Monday evenings amazing at all times.
Now this 10th season looks like it could be a little more exciting than the usual gossip and drama going on. The trailer showing what will happen in the future of the show you see make outs, tears, anger, and even a baby? I have just finished the first episode, and this is what I have gotten so far from it.
First off with the Captain, Captain Sandy. She is a fan favorite, always helpful and always seems very caring for her employees. For this season, so far, my only worry is the hires that she made for this season was for who she likes, but not what would have this season be as successful as it can be.
She brought back Nathan as a Bosun for the crew this season. He was great the last season but he was a deckhand. That was great because he did not have to worry about taking care or being in charge of anyone, he just did what he was told and goofed around the whole time doing it. He even found a tv show crush last time he was on where the female, "Gael" had a boyfriend in the beginning of the season but after a few weeks, broke up with him for Nathan. They say so far in the first season that they are just, "Friends", but he is making a bed for a baby. So very curious what is happening with that relationship. But when talking about the job itself... first episode was very difficult for the outdoors crew. One of the deckhands took 40 minute tying up 2 water walks ways and did not get to fully tie up the jetski to the boat and floated off in the water. Then, when putting the jetski up on the boat, it began swinging and destroying a light... tough first day on the job, huh?
The interior crew seems like a pretty good group that will be successful! Gael has been one of the goats when you think of Below Deck castmates who is one of the most positive vibes energy people I have ever seen on television. The other two... seem like they will be stirring the pot with the other castmates on the show. Izzy, one of the other interior crew mates shows in the trailer becoming extremely friendly with many of the other crewmates on the boat. The biggest problem with that in this show, is that nothing but fights and arguments happen when love comes into the boat. Basically, every season of this show has had a crew mate relationship that goes amazing in the beginning, then one of them talks to a different person, and before you know it, they break up or argue and the nights that they go out become filled with drama. And that is when entertainment is at its highest point on the show. Very curious which characters will be a part of the drama for this season, but it does seem like many of them will be involved.
Episode 1 usually is just a slow introduction of everyone and show the start of the first charter. Usually, it goes nice and smooth and everyone happy, this one, was the first time I saw something on the boat break, and if that is happening in the first episode, who knows what else they have in store for this season.
