What a week to be a college football fan
If you have a wedding you were invited to... say you're busy. Week 4 is one of the best that they have for the year with multiple ranked games all throughout the day. Week 1 had a lot of hype but unfortunately did not show out with the performance of the game, hopefully this week will be different from that. Here are the top 5 games for the week.
Michigan at Nebraska
Michigan playing at Nebraska is a huge matchup within the Big 10, but not the biggest for this weekend. You got Bryce Underwood getting to play his second game with being able to use all of his abilities against a 2nd year veteran Raiola who has been able to score more than 50 points, 2 out of 3 games so far this season. A key point will be who will be able to win the line of scrimmage, Michigan has been very run oriented throughout this season so far and the only time they needed to have a pass game, the lost to Oklahoma. This could also be a massive break out game for Nebraska and could even get them to become ranked if they get this win.
Auburn at Oklahoma
A ranked match up which will be very exciting to see. Auburn's quarterback, Jackson Arnold will be returning to his old stomping grounds playing as he has been the starting quarterback at Oklahoma the last 2 years and will be looking for revenge. The problem is... Oklahoma has a new quarterback, and he is phenomenal. John Mateer is my Heisman front runner as of now in my opinion. He will be dominant this game in the air and on the ground, I think this game will be one of the more fun games to watch this weekend. And no matter what, Oklahoma fans will be welcoming Jackson Arnold into the stadium with open arms.
South Carolina at Missouri
South Carolina had a surprising blowout against Vanderbilt last year at home which was not expected to happen. Sophomore star Seller got injured during the game last week and was questioned for this upcoming week. Recent news is stated that he is probable to play and that is key for South Carolina to have any chance staying with Missouri this week. Missouri has had a pretty smooth and easy start of the season blowing out 2 teams and then having a tough high scoring game against Kansas. I really like Missouri's offense this year with a quarterback who can control the game and a running back who has been averaging over 100 yards a game. It will be an exciting SEC vs SEC battle to watch, we shall see if Missouri can keep the high scoring games.
Florida at #4 Miami
If Florida gets blown out at Miami, this is the end of the Billy Napier as the head coach. Florida had a lot of hype in the beginning of the season, a returning and bright future star quarterback, electric offense, and starting the season ranked. After the surprising upset against South Florida and a 5-interception loss to LSU, now they are fighting to get back uphill. They will be having to play at Miami where they look absolutely amazing so far. They have been able to beat another ranked team already this season, and Carson Beck is showing the fans that he is not the same quarterback that he was in Georgia. They have some electric receivers that will be getting opportunity for some long balls this game. It is always fun to watch an in-city game, but it is even more exciting to see the tables are turning and Miami will be running the show and not the other way around.
#17 Texas Tech at #16 Utah AND #9 Illinois at #19 Indiana
I have both of these games in the same area because I have the same opinion on both of the games. And that is I have no idea about any of these teams, I haven't watched them play yet, and I think these 4 teams will not make a lot of noise in the playoffs if they make it. I know for the Texas Tech at Utah game it will be great to see because there will be a lot of offense going that game so hopefully the ball will be thrown all around. I know the tortilla throw is in Texas Tech but curious if Utah will do anything to try to match it. For the Illinois at Indiana game, I have no idea what to expect because Indiana has not been too impressive and Illinois has Bret Bielema, which is cool, I guess.
