Ryder's Cup for Beginners

I am ashamed to say, but I became a late in my life fan of golf. I was never good at golf, I never cared too much about it, and all I knew about it was the big day was Sunday and usually I take a nap during that time. But within the last few years and a little extra help from Happy Gilmore 2, I became a fan and interested to learn more about it. They always talk about how this is a massive individual sport and how it can never be too loud at the course. But then I learned more about this Ryder cup, and this event is ELECTRIC!

The Ryder's Cup was founded in 1927, and one team is Team USA and the other is Team Europe. They have a captain and then they have a draft for their players to see which players were picked to be in this golf team competition. As of now, USA is leading the series 27-14. The event happens every 2 years and Europe has won the last 2 competitions, so The United States have not had the taste of glory since 2016, the year Lebron James came back to a 3-1 series against the Golden State Warriors. So, these next 3 days will be one word, and one word only... ENTERTAINING

This event is unlike any other though, there are fans from both teams chanting the entire time, you are rooting for MULTIPLE players, not just one or two, and trash talk starts to happen later on in the competition. They are not just playing for themselves, they cannot just be upset and just feel guilty for themselves, this is for their country, this is for the entire team that you are with, this is for the thousands and thousands of fans chanting and watching your every move. The only time in golf where you hear fans cheering when a golfer misses a close putt, and chant USA after a long putt is made for their team. It is an amazing event, and will be a 3-day event, so buckle up and sit down for it.
