King Henry Unreal Numbers
Detroit Lions against the Baltimore Ravens tonight, I am very worried. They have an incredible running back, they have a tough defense, they make the big play when needed, and then they have this running back... King Henry. Now when you watch him in the NFL running over professional players that their job is to stop him from running forward, you think to yourself, "He must have been an absolute force in college." Then you see in college he won the Heisman and was averaging 147 yards a game in the SEC, then you think to yourself one more time, "He must have been even better in high school." Then you look at these stats...
The top picture shows his high school stats for his 4 years in high school. Obviously, you can read and look at the stats but let's really break this down. First off... in most states, if you had stats that Derrick Henry had his freshman year, 2,465 yards, averaging 224 yards a game, 26 touchdowns, and averaging 7.9 yards a carry, you would be all state and probably looked at by D1 schools all around the country. That was Derrick Henry's WORST year in high school. He just kept getting better and better, it is absolutely insane. Then you go to his senior year... those stats are even better than when I played NCAA Football 2011 my player playing in Freshman difficulty. One game his senior year, he had 57 carries... That is INSANE! People can say whatever they want, and how good they were in "the old days" but for Derrick Henry, his stats are unlike any other.
