Dartmouth Players are now Employees

Just this past week, Dartmouth Basketball players are now called university employees to be getting paid as employees also. When reading this information, I think to myself, "This team must be a powerhouse team that has been winning for years, right? They must be so sick of winning without pay that they had to fight for what's right, right?" No that is wrong, completely wrong. They are 5-14 this year and most of the games are not even close. Credit to them, they did beat a team called Thomas Terriers where when I try to even click on them on ESPN to see the rest of the schedule, I cannot even find it. They might be one of those Bishop Sycamore teams which are not real teams. I tried to give this Dartmouth team some credit and thought to myself, maybe this year has just been a tough year and maybe they have been good in the past and maybe even have had a dynasty... And that is where I am wrong again. They have not have had a winning season since 1999 and have not made the March Madness Tournament in 1959. If these players are employees, I do not know how much longer they will have jobs. I am curious if this will keep going in other colleges in the future, I like the idea, but they are just now closing the gap between college sports to professional sports.
