Round 1 NBA Playoff Takeaways So Far

 

This has been a pretty awesome first round of the NBA playoffs with some unexpected teams taking over, some heated moments against some players, some game winners, and it is only the first round. Here are my takeaways from just the first round this year. 

This may be the most liked team in the NBA this year. They do not have any official superstar player on their team but they play so well together and are showing that multiple people playing well can beat just 1 player that can play well. The Knicks are a spitting image of the National Champion Villanova Wildcats where they have complete trust with eachother and give effort throughout the whole game. It is amazing to see, and also seeing the knicks fan just go crazy after every game makes me want them to go farther in the playoffs and to see how they can go. 

The Lakers have been very surprising this series knowing that they are beating the Nuggets in minutes with the leads by a lot but at one point still being down in the series 3-0. They have just won 1 of the games so they still got 3 more to go. I am not expecting it to happen, but just know Michael Jordan fans, if Lebron comes back from a 0-3 in the series, this will be another thing under his belt. I will give Lebron credit no matter what though, he still plays this deep in his career with him able to do everything from step back 3's to trailing blocks on defense. Only time will tell what the narrative of this series will be. 

Anthony Edwards is becoming the king of the NBA in a blink of our eyes. I have not seen a player be that dominant in all ways of the court and doing all the small things to help their team win since... Lebron. It still amazes me why some players trying to block him or jump up with him under the rim, 10 times out of 10, you will be dunked on and will be all over social media. I am curious what team will be able to stop him and what will be their strategy. But until then, soak it in and remember the year that Anthony Edwards told the league that he will be the new king. 

This is one of my favorite teams to watch because these are the 2 best iso players in the whole NBA and when they have the ball, something amazing will happen. The only problem is that this is not winning the games and it will crush me that these 2 together cannot make a deep run in the play offs. The series is tied 2-2 but I would love to see them win this series and make it on to the next. No matter what happens though in this series, there will be highlights happening, and it will be thanks to these 2 players.

Love Is Blind 3 New Episode Reactions

 I think it is very smart for Love Is Blind to bring out the episodes 3 at a time because now I have to wait and wonder what is going to happen for the next episodes when they come out. It is making me crave this television show even more. It is like people having the extra urge to have Chic Fil A on Sunday... just because you cannot have it makes you want it more. With these 3 episodes, some couples already completely ended, some have had some ROCKY moments, and some are absolutely thriving. I was completely wrong about this couple. I thought because they both were such caring and kind people that they would match and just be in love forever, and that did not happen. They were on vacation with the best view and best things to talk about and it was completely awkward on that boat ride for about 25-30 minutes... thank goodness a dolphin came up for one of them to say anything at all. Casino First Timer

 As I sit here, watching sports, wishing I was making some +10000 parlay and make it big and retire at a young age, I think about the first time I went to the casino. I went to a glorious casino in Connecticut called Foxwoods where I walk in being the big spender I am... I brought $300 for a 2 night event. There's 2 ways it could go leaving the casino after the trip; either walking out with so much money in my wallet that I couldn't close it, or, drive home hoping I have enough gas to make it home hoping I have enough food in the fridge for the week. But that first night, oh that first night was a MOVIE! And when I mean movie, I mean going from 300 to 450 so making a remarkable 150 that night. I walk into the place and I was looking like Charlie and the Chocolate Factory just being in awe of everything and trying to soak it in.
