What is next for the Dolphins?
After the last 3 weeks of watching the Miami Dolphins play, I am curious what is the next steps for this team. There are players that are a couple years until their prime hits, there are players in their prime, and then there are players that are going through their final years until they are out of their prime. Some players are going to have to get out before it is too late. Tua did not play poorly last night. He threw 22/34 but only had 146 yards passing with 2 touchdowns and an interception. But overall, this season he has been struggling having 5 touchdowns thrown and 4 interceptions. Do you switch things up with this Dolphins offense? Do you try to trade him away for some draft picks? I feel terrible because there has been year where he played very well, but with the receivers that they have, they have to do something before players start leaving for something new. Tyreek Hill in my eyes will always be able to score when the ball is in his hands. But with him being 31, I do not know how many years he has left being the #1 receiver and having the quickness that he for now. Do you trade him back to the Chiefs? Do you find him a team where he can be a key factor for a playoff team? Or do you keep here with the Dolphins knowing unfortunately the season is already going down. I think for him, he should find somewhere that he can go in and win them a championship before it is too late. It was amazing to see Ollie Gordon get some reps and even a touchdown last night against the Bills. I think he will be the future for the team and with him being 21 years old, they can slowly use him more and more throughout the next couple of years until he is the face of the team. I was a big fan of him when he was at Oklahoma State and if he can do what he did in college, he will have a great NFL career.
Many questions to be answered for the Miami Dolphins team. The team could turn things around and make it to a positive, but with the offense being slow and having a difficult schedule for the remainder of the year, I do not think much will change. So the only thing they could do, is switch things around and see if that will be able to win them games. New quarterback? New receiving crew? New ideas for the offensive plan?
