Ready for the show now...
In Nebraska... we go to your house, in front of all of your fans, and run the ball down your mouths and win the football game. Oh, my goodness, it is great to be a Michigan Wolverine...fan. As I am watching, Michigan looked like a completely different team than they were against Oklahoma a couple weeks ago. Against Oklahoma they could not stop the run, they couldn't make the big play when needed, and they couldn't use the QB when they needed the first down, against Nebraska, they answered all of the questions. When Nebraska is driving down the field with ease, I say to myself, "This is going to be another one of those games where Michigan gets destroyed on the line of scrimmage and cannot make a stop when they need to." That is exactly when they started off with the big time stop on 4th and 2 to get the ball back in our own goal line. That is when Michigan's team started growing up a bit and able to play the big games when needed. After Michigan lost the game against Oklahoma, I kept saying to myself, "Yes, I understand Michigan is not driving the ball on them well, but what are these play calls? Are we going to have the calls like this the whole season?" And that is when the offensive coordinator, Chip Lindsey, shut me up and showed all of Michigan football. They had the screen passes that were working on the side, the running game was working the whole game with multiple running backs, and then the biggest part, they used Bryce Underwood and let him throw and run the ball when it was much needed. They even had a perfectly timed trick play that would have been massive if the ball was thrown anywhere near the receiver. Hayes having 149 yards with a touchdown, Marshall having 80 yards and a touchdown, and Underwood having 61 yards and a touchdown, all I will say is, get used to having to stop the 3 headed dragon when the lineman are managing control of the line of scrimmage.
