Dawg in Him

Every year in basketball, there is a player that talks the talk and is able to walk the walk. There's players like JJ Reddick, Jalen Rose, Grayson Allen, and is the new one now Cam Spencer? Uconn's starting shooting guard is a 5th year senior that has been to 3 different schools and this year is now getting the spotlight of college basketball. Cam Spencer starting his college basketball career at Loyola Maryland, where he played for 3 years where he averaged 10 Freshman year, 10 Sophomore year, and 19 Junior year. After his successful junior year, he transferred to Rutgers for his Senior year averaging 13 points a game as the team went 19-15 and now has transferred for his 5th year going to the reigning national champions Uconn Huskies. I never watched him play until this year, but quickly has caught fans attentions as he has been making multiple clutch shots during the season and has been talking trash along the way. The first time I found out he is not someone to mess with is when they went against #9 ranked North Carolina and stood face to face against a UNC great, Armando Bacot. After a basket was scored, Cam Spencer and Armando Bacot had a little scuffle and jawing at each other. He proved he was not going to back down as he made multiple clutch shots that game and hyped up the crowd in Madison Square Garden with his 23 points and a win. Now returning to Madison Square Garden, this time being the visitor playing St. Johns, he is starting to be the king of MSG. With a key player on Uconn being out, Cam had to be a score first player which he proved he can be, scoring 23 points and shooting 71% from the 3 point line. And when the clock hits 0 as they won by 13, he then points at all the St. Johns fans and says "Go the f*** home". Uconn is #1, and if he keeps playing the way he has been, I think they will remain #1. It makes sense that he went to the Huskies, because he's got that dawg in him.
